The 2009 Mrs. Florida
International Pageant celebrated the pageant’s 21st
Anniversary this year in Orlando, FL honoring 25 women who competed in a
brilliant fashion at the premiere event for married ladies. The pageant
promotes the institution of marriage, community service, family values,
and beauty! The Florida State Director is Michael Galanes of Citrus
Productions, Hollywood, FL. “This is my 2nd year serving as
the state director and I am in awe of the women, the accomplishments,
the dedication to community service, and the spirit of these women, the

Each lady is bestowed the honor of a local title prior to arriving to
the state pageant which was held September 12-14, 2008 at the Radisson
Worldgate Resort, Kissimmee, FL. With the local titles, the ladies
worked in their respective communities to “make a difference” and

causes they wish to promote as Mrs. Florida International 2009.
Each of the married ladies reside in the Sunshine State and must be
between the ages of 21-56 years to compete in the pageant’s private
interview, fitness wear, and evening wear competition. The 25 women
competed in these three categories and then the field is narrowed to the
Top 10 where these 10 accomplished women must then answer an on-stage
question about her platform and recomplete in fitness and evening wear.
The show was choreographed by Mr. Frank Arcidiacono who has performed
and worked with management with Walt Disney Entertainment for over 10
years. The show’s theme was Disco Divas and the music certainly provided
an energy of excitement and good times!
